GRANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Latinx Community Grant

The Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance has been awarded a $50,000 grant by Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield‘s Blue & You Foundation to be used to support local hunger relief organizations that serve Latinx communities throughout the state. Our Latinx neighbors are especially vulnerable to COVID-19 — so it’s crucial for organizations that serve these communities to be supported in their work fighting hunger amid the current health + economic crisis.

If you are a food pantry, soup kitchen, shelter, summer feeding site, or other organization that directly serves Arkansas families in Latinx communities, then you are eligible for this grant! Organizations may apply for up to $2,500 — or up to $5,000 in an emergency — to purchase food, capacity building supplies, utilities and more.

While we ask that applications are submitted in English, please let us know if that is a barrier and we will arrange to provide a translator for you. Grant requests are due by MONDAY, JULY 6, 2020.
