Hearts Helping Hunger Luncheon

February 14, 2006 - Hearts Helping Hunger Luncheon On Valentine's Day, a day of sharing and giving, the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance provided some much needed help for those in the fight against hunger in Arkansas.  As part of its first grant initiative, the Alliance granted 111 capacity building awards to 61 agencies across the state including freezers, refrigerators, fuel cards, computers, shelving, and even a cargo van and enclosed 16-ft. trailer.  Recipients were thrilled and delighted to receive their items and indicated it would truly help them in their efforts to end hunger in their local community.
