Spirit of Giving 2007

“Spirit of Giving 2007” sponsored by KATV – Channel 7 and US Bank was held December 12 -19 and collected over 19,000 pounds of food plus funds to support statewide efforts to end hunger in Arkansas. This was a 43% increase over 2006. All food collected stayed in the community in which it was donated. Awards were given for the US Bank location and the Arkansas school to collect the most food. The 2007 “Spirit of Community” Awards went to US Bank – Heber Springs and North Ridge Middle School in Van Buren. The recipients will display their award until next December when competition begins again.
